Probably as per my point of view, there is no one particular key to success in hospitality sector especially, However it is of utmost importance to Primarily take care of your customers who are loyal to your company to retain them, at the same time focus has to be on the new ones as well to grow day by day.

Retaining customers as well as focusing on new ones and taking care of each and every special request can do the trick, but its by far the most difficult task on hand for any company seeking to enter this industry.

Another key aspect which most companies blunder is taking care of your own employes.

There are several keys, when combined, should result in sustained growth:

  • Adapt and evolve
    • As the market and competition is rarely a static thing, you must continually adapt and evolve to meet, if not exceed, the requirements of your customers (e.g., offering wi-fi ... this was unheard of 20 years ago and not needed, but as times and needs have changed, it is now a high-demand issue to consider).
  • Go above and beyond the necessary
    • Everyone expects the expected but it is more often than not that the subtle extra touches make all the difference and can set you apart from your competitors.
  • Building and maintaining your reputation
    • While not an overnight aspect, it takes months, of not years, to consistently develop and fortify one's prestige, trust and reputation in the market.
  • Honesty
    • We are human after all and no one is perfect.  Mistakes can occur. It's not so much the error (although one should learn from mistakes and not commit the same error again) but the manner in which it is remedied.
  • Passion and drive
    • This last one is the driving force behind becoming (or maintaining) success.  If you don't have passion for what you do and not driven to be the very best one can be, success if a bit of an uphill climb!

Customer satisfaction and Relationship management are some of the key factors. Out of sight is out of mind. One should not forget the customer after getting their business and winning their trust. Business will come and go. But relationships are here to stay.

An important factor is also thinking out of the box and providing solutions and being there for the customer. A relationship which is all about business will not strive in future. It is how much a customer has trust on you and remembers you instantly when there is a requirement in his company for the hotel.
