Density of population means the number of people living within one square kilometer. It is obtained by dividing population with the total area of a country. It indicates as to how much is the pressure of population on land and on other resources. Thus the needed policies should be made by govt. to improve the conditions of the people. High population densities require more resources to provide for the people. This includes food, clothing and other goods, power, water, etc.
