Nowadays, do you think that social media sites like Facebook are becoming useful tools for developing international sales? Why?

All communication channels, regardless of type are useful for developing international sales.  Keep in mind, however, that all communication mechanisms can be advantageous or disadvantageous depending on how they are used.  Obviously opening up as many doors (virtual or otherwise) generically increases probabilities of sales ... when done correctly. 

Yes. But it also depends on your market. Instagram for example is more popular in some countries and having the ability to cater to customers who are in instagram as opposed to Facebook will provide you with multiple social platforms for making sales. You should have all tools possible to extending your marketing.

Facebook is could be useful in a market the arab world specially the gulf market where people prefer to stay home and shop, not so much in other places, and whatsapp is useful for one on one interactions as a way of direct communication for making sales, but that depends on the type of business and the size of it, so the question is missing the target market of question here, and it also depends on what you're selling but generally its good for small business contacting end user, so it'd be for a B2C, also it depends on the type of sold item not just the type of business, but as a tool, both FB and Whatsapp could be used in sales generally and if suitable for the business of the matter it could be facilitized to serve a use.

actually, not just facebook is good for advertising, most of social media site is very useful as it takes only one press of post or share will already reach to a million of viewers. Less time, less effort, less expenses but effective way to market your products.

Yes, for sure, but the media campaign of a Company must not be limited just to a single issue but repeated with always new and attractive contents, with the scope to involve and interact with potential Customers by giving clever solutions to their needs.

It very well depends on the type of business you do. If it's B2C, it may help but not much for B2B. The product category also depends. Social media marketing has its share in the market.

As per my concern, now a day’s many companies are using these tools for promoting sales specially face book. It is because, they any many pro's such as, saving time , interact to many customers with in a short span of time, meet new people, maintain relationship with clients and customers the last but not least best tools  for generating business .

However, there are some companies not allowing these tools because of their own policies & procedures.
