Warehouse is the most important department in any facility as he is the responsible to store and save all Raw, package, semi and finish  products in same  way under any condition .

Also warehouse is main gate from any shipment even if it’s in or out .

In its simplest form, a warehouse is a group of products. It also represents the address from where your shipments start and you need at least one to set up your store. You can create more warehouses when certain products ship from different locations (e.g., a drop shipper or vendor) or should you want to apply special shipping rules to a product. For example, you could have a set of products that, because of their weight or size, have to be shipped in a completely different way. If you create a new warehouse you can group these similar products together in one warehouse and create a new shipping method that is associated with this one warehouse. So, no matter where you're shipping from, or what unique products you're shipping, you can give your customers the most accurate shipping costs and delivery times.

To avoid disruption to business activities and to meet uncertainities in demand, we maintain certain level of inventories in warehouse.

It is very important to have a warehouse as we can store our goods and products in the warehouse. As after production we need some space to keep those for future and if we do not do then our goods or products will become bad and we cant use them so warehouse is very importance to keep and store our products and it is also important because at the time of we cannot start the production we have make plans and pre production is necessary so that when at the time of order we can able to supply them as soon at a stipulated given period of time.
