Learning the vocabulary, either as a compulsion or curiosity, should be done in a way that the words get embossed in the memory strip of your brain for ever. I follow3 simple rules:

1. Read and memorize not more than5 words in a day along with their usage in the sentences. Next day, just revise these5 words and add another5

2. Choose the book, either fiction or non fiction, depending on your taste. Not an avid reader? Ok, then read just the editorial column of the newspaper. Now even this is too much, then please stick to your mother tongue or slang...no need to think of getting hold on any language.

3. Start writing mails or one liners on whats app to near and dear ones using all those fancy words you had mugged up or if you don't want to spoil your relations with them, then go for friendship sites, catch hold of few and flash your knowledge before them. You will gain more than expected.
