Which software or method is mostly used for planning various construction activities at site?

Besides that too many softwares are available for project management purpose , But the old days project managers has only expertise in few of them , so they mostly use PRIMAVERA & MS Project.

Other than project planning software, there is also 3-D visualization software called BIM (Building information modeling) which track the complete construction via a computer designed 3-D model.It shows what work has been done till date, what work has to be done via actual visual 3-D models, which help the various construction agencies perform their tasks in a much more organized fashion.

Primavera 6 and MS project

Mostly Primavera software is used to manage project progress

Autocad 2D, 3D software are used in planing and design.
