The only question i have! and i would love to hear some true answers! Does education takes away from the value of a person and their work? And why age is always looked at as a threat? and why do others fear different people?
Farah, welcome to the Middle East; where your degree is judged, your age is looked at as a negative, and your origin would raise questions (ex: Egyptian or Palestinian) . All of these things you mention are illegal and should be incorporated in a law somewhere that does not discriminate on age, race or origin.
Personally I would agree that the older the candidate is the more experience and knowledge they may have.
