How much does the Research and Development Department work in the UAE?

The UAE Academy’s Scientific Research and Innovation department is comprised of two main pillars both aimed at serving strategic initiatives. The first concentrates on the local market environment, its efforts focused on Abu Dhabi, by taking a close look at the problems faced by the business community. In turn, solutions to problems are provided which may include the expedition of setting up a business as well as making policy recommendations. The second pillar of the Scientific Research and Innovation department encompasses the entire Middle East region and expands globally to the world at large. This allows learning from example of what is taking place in other parts of the world and adapting those practices in order to support the shift to the non-oil sector and build human capital in alignment with Vision 2030. Best Practices and Benchmarking As part of the UAE’s Research and Development department, Best Practices/Benchmarking is an initiative serving to meet the standards of the academic world. This is achieved in two steps. The first is by producing a Research Report which reflects latest developments under exploration by the UAE Academy, ADSM and the Abu Dhabi Chamber. The second is by sending this Report to Peer Review Journals (PRJs) with the aim of publication. Finally faculty members will present their research in regional and academic conferences.

Not only in UAE, in any market for that matter, R&D department plays a vital role. For a company to launch a new product or a service, it is very important to understand if it will be accepted by the market or not. Since a lot of budget and effort is put behind this, R&D department lays a path to make sure that the acceptance is there. But, yeah the R&D depatment has to be very strong and efficient to attain this.

Research is a must for development and also for present system running efficiently, in the context of UAE the situation is quite satisfactory, not only that but is very regular manner to maintain the growth. Usually the system will never turn to be a hazard or any problem happen or remain under control if we have any research project is going about any system
