Ours is an “era of stress” and for workers everywhere on this globe, the economy may feel like an emotional roller coaster. "Layoffs" and "budget cuts" are common in the workplace, and the result is increased fear, uncertainty, and higher levels of stress.

Emotions are contagious, and stress has an impact on the quality of one’s interactions with others. The better we are at managing our own stress, the more we'll positively affect those around us, and the less other people's stress will negatively affect us.

To me, we can manage stress in our daily work by;

1) Tracking our stressors and developing healthy responses.

2) Recharging our batteries i.e., to rest and relax for a period of time so that we may feel energetic again.

3) Doing regular exercise. Exercise is a hugely effective way to lift our mood, increase energy, sharpen focus, and relax both the mind and body. Try walking, swimming, cycling, etc.

4) Talking to an attentive listener, as simply sharing our feelings with a trusted friend or family member can be very cathartic and can help calm our nervous system and relieve stress.

5) Taking a deep breath. If we’re feeling overwhelmed or are coming out of a tense meeting and need to clear our head, a few minutes of deep breathing will restore balance.

6) Trying to manage our time wisely.  All work and no play is a recipe for burnout. We should try to find a balance between work and family life, social activities and solitary pursuits, daily responsibilities and downtime.

7) Avoiding pitfalls by identifying knee jerk habits and negative attitudes that add to the stress we experience at work.

8) Learning better communication skills to ease and improve our relationships with management and coworkers.

9) Eating right. Low blood sugar can make us feel anxious and irritable, while eating too much can make us lethargic.Eating small but frequent meals can help our body maintain an even  level of blood sugar, keep our energy up, stay focused, and avoid mood swings.

) Getting enough sleep. Not only can stress and worry cause insomnia, but a lack of sleep can leave us vulnerable to even more stress. When we're well-rested, it's much easier to keep our emotional balance, a key factor to improve the quality of our work.

Thanks

We need to restart our minds sometimes to manage the stress , that is come when take rest during working hours and do different thing (Smoke, Eat, Make a phone call with friend, play a game on your phone,....) then return to your work , beside that you need to schedule your tasks and you have to know when you take actions, in this way you can  steer your stress.

I will take a deep breath, think of the reasons why I am working so hard and feel how blessed I am for being employed. That practice will help me to motivate myself and forget about the stress and just focus to my goals and tasks to have it finished perfectly.

By confidence and competence.
