Is it possible to say from when a product can be described as truly new?

an awarded patent is one way to tell. All products borrow from previous experience in some extent and the plethora of patent issues and claims are a demonstration of how difficult it is to determine the novelty in one given product.

Market is the real judge.

It is not a question of if its possible. Just do it. Do a trial and error. The result of your trial and error will answer this question.

I couldn't really understand the question but may be i think of something similar. I think a product can be described as truly new if its the first time its produced, made aware & offered for sale to customers or public, it excludes products that have been reviewed or put back to refurblishing.
