For material testing there are two methods for testing like,

1- Destructive testing

2- Non destructive testing

1 destructive testing

You can use Tensile testing, hardness testing,

By tensile testing you can check tensile strength, yield strength, plastic & elastic limit permanent deformation point and breakeven point.

By were testing you can check surface toughness, hardness & were resistance

2- Non destructive testing

You can use Radio x-ray testing, dye penetration test, ultra sonic test and visual test.

You may used a SPECTRO METER, Its a simple handy tool.

The SPECTRO xSORT XRF handheld analyzer is designed for high-throughput elemental testing and spectrochemical analysis of a wide range of metals and other materials in the field. Its speed, accuracy and ease of use set new benchmarks for handheld spectrometric performance. The SPECTRO xSORT handheld analyzer is ideal for applications, including positive material identification (PMI) and environmental screening, recycling of alloys, precious metals, and aluminum, plus mining and compliance screening.

For many jobs, such as material verification, the SPECTRO xSORT handheld analyzer delivers highly reliable analyses in two seconds. And, for more complex matrices such as in environmental screening, SPECTRO xSORT achieves very low detection limits without the need for complex sample preparation.

The XRF handheld analyzer SPECTRO xSORT also is available with time and cost-saving features, such as an integrated video camera for precise spot testing and visual memory storage. Also available is an integrated global positioning system (GPS) that allows users to quickly return to previously checked locations without time-wasting resurveys.

Dear Sir,

You can test streangth of material by two test:

1-tensile test to know the ultimit tensile strength of material and compromise it with tensile strength in specs of material.

2-composite material test  to know precentage of carbon in materil and compromise is withe precentage in specs of material.

Best Regards
