Many years ago I learned an important lesson from an previous employer, really became my most important mentor.
He told me his secret 'Look at each day as a new opportunity to be your very best.
Set high goals, be honest, never say no, and work with people who share your passion for doing their best.' I've always remembered that advice and try to live it every day.
I really love what I do, I try to surround myself with people who share similar passions and I let others evaluate me.

It is very important to evaluate onself if one expects career growth.
One need to start by first setting a goal, short term or long term.
I like setting short term goals as it keeps me focused as well as it can be achieved within more realistic timelines.
I set targets for improvement areas on the line of my goal within 1-3 months & accordingly evaluate if I have been able to achieve it.
I also put effort to achieve my personal targets & keep my mind open to feedbacks as I feel that it helps me gain knowledge as well as be honest with ourself.
Judge yourself by being in the other persons shoes during feedbacks.
If it is negative feedback, learn to let it pass by & look for people who give honest opinions.
Being proactive & open to challenges helps me measure my goals & be a step ahead.
Learn from right kind of peers or managers who supports your goals.

Dear Mr.
Binod simply you can start by a psychometric assessment which will give you a better view about yourself plus after getting the results you can work on developing yourself by a personal development plan that has your own personal vision, values, goals and the methods that will help you to achieve this plans and record this personal development plan and get back to it every month and see if you are on the right track or not

Dear, First of all, how do you evaluate yourself as what? However, here are some tips may help you to evaluate yourself better:
1- Understand the "self evaluation" meaning: It can be very terrifying to write about yourself and your skills , rating your progress and focusing on your best skills.
In fact, it can be really intimidating to share your ideas with others in this way.

2- Communicating Clearly:In order to impress your boss at work, you are going to need to find your own voice and work from there.
Include information which shows you have taken the time and energy to reflect upon your own skill set and performance.
Talk about specific data points, and also share your insights on your personal growth as an employee and your development as a leader, etc..
Writing a perfect self evaluation takes a lot of time, thought, and effort, YOU HAVE TO TAKE A LOOK AT Everything before doing that, you have to re-read what you wrote many times, took take of format, etc....
Hope this Helps, Regards,

I evaluate myself by looking at what I've accomplished in the past, paying more attention on what aspects of my work need to be improved.
I also frequently consult with my superiors at work to know if I'm doing the tasks assigned to me the right way.

It is very important to evaluate onself especially if he/she is looking forward to growth and advancement in career and personal life. So evaluating oneself should not be limited to just the job you are in or your years of life behind a desk. Begin with the first job, most of us were clueless. How faster did we learn and adjust with the rules and life is the first question I would ask. Next, apart from what is taught or learnt from the industry we are working, did we learn something beyond out of personal interest, yet useful to better our performance. If the answer is yes, then we are really serious about our growtha nd infact doing the right things to advance. How much have we learned and applied ? And if given a task, can that be done efficiently... is what as a person we should answer honestly.

That confidence will determine how far we have come.
