What is difference between interactive and alternative media?

Hi all! To watch live TV channels today, you don't have to use cable TV, as you can subscribe to the Frndly TV streaming service, which provides access to popular channels without having to pay a lot of money. The process of subscribing to them is very simple, and if their services are not suitable for the user, then they do not even have to contact frndly tv customer service since everyone can cancel the subscription independently, and this is very convenient.

Alternative media is what we call the new media; the new media type which came to existence with the emergence of the internet: social media such as blogs, facebook, twitter, etc,, 

 

Interactive media is the media type through which communication becomes a two-way process. Obviously, alternative media is synonymous with interactive media; however, interactive media is not necessarily a type of alternative media, for instance, telephone is an interactive mean of communication, but it doesn't come under alternative media category.

First: Interactive Media

Allows Communication systems that permit two-way communication and believed to be the most persuasive type of communication available to marketers, that isn't limited to the Internet  also includes telephone and e-mail. The Internet and Marketing Communication include: Web sites; Advertising resources such as Search engines, Search marketing or B2C and B2B ad networks, Chat rooms and Blogs.

Second: Alternative and New Media

Advertisement when companies integrate brands into content, Also called branded entertainment ch.ch by Situational ads which harder for the viewer to dismiss as ads and product is a character in the program e.g  New Internet Practices, Video Games, Wireless Communication (Location Based Marketing) and Guerrilla Marketing(Unconventional marketing communication activities) Also called Stealth, Ambush marketing.

Alternative media are media that differ from established or dominant types of media in terms of their content, how they are produced or how they are distributed.

 

Interactive media normally refers to products and services on digital computer-based systems which respond to the user's actions by presenting content such as text, moving image, animation, video, audio, games, etc.
