The following are the major roles of Supply Chain Manager

1.     Ensures that supply planning is done thoroughly in the beginning of  year and arrange  the required resources i.e. manpower, equipment, warehousing facilities accordingly.

2.     Market research, Identification of sources and registration of additional suppliers for competitive bidding

3.     Updating of specifications for accuracy and preparation bidding document

4.     Soliciting of bids from registered suppliers and receipt of the bids

5.     Bid Evaluation and award of work to the lowest substantially responsive bid

6.     Monitoring during delivery period and ensuring timely delivery

7.     Warehousing  of the goods  and ensure proper use immediately

8.     Prompt payment after delivery and to take advantage of early payment discount, if any.

9.     Finally, ensure Transparency through following the procedures and documentation
