I am really trying to figure out the meaning of your question. However, If you meant to variably design your IP addressing scheme using VLSM, then /30 is the answer. This way you can allocate only 2 addresses for a 2-node network.

Use 255.255.255.252 as subnet mask for both so for 171.43.22.4 network you can use 171.43.22.5 & 6 and for 192.168.0.0 network you can use 192.168.0.1 & 2
