What is the volume of concrete poured in a trench 9m long, 600mm wide and 1 m deep.The thickness of concrete is 460mm?

9* 0.6* 0.46 = 2.484 m3

Get the volume of the side of trench

9.92x1x0.46x2=9.126

0.6x1x0.46x2=0.552

Get also the volume of the slab assume 0.46m thick 

1.52x9.92x0.46=6.936

 

Total volume of concrete more or less=16.614 cubic meter (cover not included)

By multiplying the dimensions, it arises that the demanded volume equals 2.484 m^3.

If the trench have a length of 9m, width of 0.6m & thickness of 0.46m the volume (metric) of concrete  will be 2.848 cu.m.
