First and Foremost is the salutation with confidence and a smile. Secondly, it is very important to be crisp and clear in the communication and not to be repeated and mixed with other questions.

Body language and eye-contact is equally important to ensure a good understanding and interactive communication.

Use Good nonverbal communication

Approach interviewer’s desk with confidence and friendly eye contact. A good first impression always helps. Before taking your seat, make it a point to wish Interviewer with appropriate greetings. You can have a good & firm hand shake if possible.

Attire

Please choose your best formal dress for the interview. Casual dressing is not desirable.  If you are not sure of company dress preferences, please stick to formal dressing at least for first one or two visits.  You have to be well groomed, neat and presentable for the occasion.

Listening Skills

Many Interviewers give general information about the company or their products to the candidate in the beginning. This information may be of help to you later during the interview. Please ensure that you listen and let the interviewer know by your response that you heard him properly. This makes communication more meaningful and participative.  Same way you will have to ascertain yourself that the interviewer is not finding your communication too slow or too fast.

Limited Talk

Please do not give too much information to the interviewer while answering his questions.  Share only that much information that is required. You might have prepared your responses to certain desirable questions and their answers, so stick to that. You may wish to check the general abilities or skills required for carrying out that job so that you are able to generate interest of interviewer in your candidature.

Closeness/Personal talk

Please note interview is a formal professional meeting and you should avoid showing too much familiarity to the interviewer or topics related to professional common friends, if any. Limit your answer to interviewer’s requirements. Be professional in approach.

Slang

Please avoid using slang or inappropriate language during the interview as it may affect the interviewer’s impression as a candidate. It is quite possible that inappropriate words have potential to Interviewer judging you wrongly.

 Be Humble

Please be humble and professional. Avoid showing any Attitude to the interviewing panel. Modesty and confidence help you win interview but over confidence or attitude can make you lose interview.

Repeating the questions

Sometimes a candidate is not able to relate to a question. In that he can request the interviewer to repeat the question or clarify with regard to …….. Caution must be taken to ensure that this happens only with one or two questions. If the questioner is seeking your response to a particular situation, put up your views without being emotional.

 Final Question

If the interviewer wants to know if you have any questions. Please ask one or two questions related to company or work place or simply declare you do not have questions.

While leaving Interview Room

While leaving the interviewing room do not leave the room requesting the Interviewer to consider your candidature and hire you because you have family responsibilities or some other problem When you interview with the "please, hire me please" approach, you appear desperate, helpless and less confident.

First of all dont't shake hands untill the interviewer offers his/her hands. you must do enough research about the company you're applying to. keep your answers short so you wouldn't stutter or start saying "ooohs" and "ahhhs". Do good rehearsal on the expected questions. Do it with a real person and take feedback & constructive criticism positively.Confidence and good verbal communication are extremely important make sure to make eye contact while speaking. make sure your tone is pleasnat and your voice is loud and clear. your body language says a lot about you so breathe deeply and be at ease. listen carefully to the questions and please don't interrupt the interviewer. Mention all the pressure situations you have been in and how you dealt successfully with them. In the end, don't be late for your interview ask for the dress-code to make sure your apperance is perfect and Check yourself in a full length mirror before leaving for the interview.

As per my experience the most important skill is self confidence. This is the the most important one. Believe in your self and capabilities and what you can do. How can you convince a company to have trust in your capabilities & experience while you don't believe it your self. How you can sell your self to a company if you don't believe in your capabilities . However in order to build this confidence your should plan well for the interview . So first the planning comes . You have to sharpen your skills by planning prior going to the interview by preparation.
