  1. Freeware is copyrighted computer software which is made available for use free of charge, for an unlimited time. Authors of freeware often want to "give something to the community", but also want to retain control of any future development of the software.
  2. The term shareware refers to commercial software that is copyrighted, but which may be copied for others for the purpose of their trying it out with the understanding that they will pay for it if they continue to use it

Terms such as freeware, shareware, payware, trialware, nagware, adware etc are often used to define programs.

Shareware is demonstration software that is distributed for free but for a specific evaluation period only, say, 15-30 days (Trialware).

Freeware is software that is distributed without demanding a fee for its usage.

Trialware is software that can be trialed for limited time, after which it expires or has limited functionality.

The Payware is software for which a payment is required as opposed to freeware.

It is usually best to enter the data one observation at a time going from left to right. After you type in a entry for a variable, you can press the Tab key to move to the next variable on the right. Once you reach the last column (race) then use the arrow keys to move to the first column of the next observation.ف

Freeware is software that is distributed without demanding a fee for its usage. These programs are available either as fully functional software for an unlimited period.

Shareware is a method of software distribution and marketing, and not a type of program. In fact, try-before-you-buy software has been discovered by traditional "shelfware" companies, and now, nearly every large software company provides some type of free trial version of their software

Trialware.Software that can be run for a limited period of time before it expires. In order to keep running the application, a registration key (password) must be purchased and entered into the trial version, or a new, full version must be installed.

Freeware is software that anyone can download from the Internet to use free of charge. The authors/developers of freeware do not charge any fees to use the software, and the software will be free for an unlimited amount of time. Sometimes, authors may give the option to pay for additional features or bonuses, but the base software itself will not require payment. While freeware is, as the name suggests, free, it is still copyrighted in order to protect the intellectual property of developers. An example of freeware that is widely used is Skype. Skype, the logo for which is above, is a program that allows users to have video or voice calls with one another, and does not require a subscription. Skype offers a paid service for users who wish to call landlines or mobile phone numbers, however.

Shareware is software that offers users a limited amount of time to use the software before charging for continued usage. This limited amount of time is often known as a “trial period” or “trial run,” the length of this time varies depending on the software. Users can use the software for a limited amount of time in order to determine whether or not the software is suitable for them, and if they want to continue using the software after the trial period, they will be charged for it. One example is Adobe Photoshop, the logo for which is above. Adobe Photoshop is a graphics editor allowing users to edit photos and electronic visual files. Adobe Photoshop is a paid program, but offers a free trial on its website.

Advantages: The ultimate "try before you buy" software because the trial period never ends. It's often a very affordable way to acquire excellent software. Since it usually comes from a small programming shop, the support can be excellent because the publisher is close to the product.

Disadvantages: The support may be non-existent because the publisher is a small company or an individual. Sometimes the program is not well designed or amateurish, although I find this is the exception to the rule.

Trialware Trialware is payware that is free to use without any limitation for a set period of time, often 15 or 30 days, so you can try it out before you decide to purchase it. After the trial period, the program no longer runs. Again, this is a marketing tactic.

Advantages: "Try before you buy" approach to software.

Disadvantages: Sometimes the trial period is not long enough to get a full sense of its usefulness .

Trust factor: Trial-ware tends be trustworthy and in fact can instill more trust because you see how it works before committing to paying for it.

payware is (computing|informal) software for which a payment is required as opposed to freeware.
