How frequency of PPM is defined?

PPM means planned preventative maintenance, which provide any mechanical equipment a very healthy life.

Basically All facilities management companies always prepares and Pre-planned the 52 weeks PPM plan, However its depends upon the contract to contract.  

Further it also depends upon the customer requirements.

PPM always needs to be done on monthly basis for any mechanical equipment's.

PPM plan made by each company as per the requirement of manufacturer and the basis of contract

All equipments need PPM , PPM to be defined as per the manufacture recomendation it will defer equipment to equipment  some equipments need weekly , monthly, quarterly , some equipement need half yearly or yearly

we have to refere equipment manufacture operation & maintennace manual based on O&M PPM frequency to be set 

PPM to be excuete without fail & keep the records , it will be very usefull to track the equipment history 

The frequency of PPM should in the first instance be based on the OEM (Original equipment manufacturer) recommendation. There could be daily, weekly, monthly and annual tasks that are required to be carried out. Once you have working knowledg/history of the asset you could find you need to alter these to suit the working conditions of the asset. This could be reducing or increasing frequency and is a balance against up time of the asset and cost of the PPM plan.
