Yesterday I was asked "What value can you add to this company?" I had no idea what to answer, so, what would you answer?

Your value add is the real contribution you make to the company's success. In this question you should list your main skills and how these will be directly applicable if you get the job, also back your claims up with achievements from your previous jobs.

Normally, this question is asked in a job interview. The interviewers want to judge your competency by asking this question. The reply may be provided outlining your skills and how you skills add a value or success to the company.

·        You have team building skill and you make strong team to improve productivity

·        You good communication skills and you can use the skill through a nice presentation to improve the brand image of the company.

·        You pave planning skill which you can utilize make a project plan uniquely

·        You have skill in process improvement and you can redesign the workflow to make the process quickly.

All the above application of your skills will be finally reflected in company’s image, success and profitability

Will to be honest, for such a question there is no specific answer. But as an HR/Recruiter I'm always willing to have creative answers, such as. (You'll never know the quality of my job until you see it in your eyes), it shows how much confidence the person is, and how good he will be if hired in our organization.

based on you role or your job , for example the training manager can add value by deliver tailored training linked with business strategy with new scope and ensure to make your organization a learning organization etc...

MY ANSWER WILL BE AS FOLLOWS;

1. Explain my ability to work well within the term

2. My ability to work well alone and use my initiative

3. A level of intelligence, common sense and the basic skills needed for the job

4. Problem and analytical solving skills

5 A good level of communication with my workmates and clients.

 6. ideas that have enhanced the company productivity within a previous company.

general answer : i have qualification , skills & experience to add for the company as :

1- Achieve the aims administration & followup  the company rulls

2- Stability and consistency in the management section

3- Attracting appropriate expertise to the work of the company

Your value added will be nothing but what company will gain out of you using your skill, knowledge and experience.

The value can be monetary benefit to company or non-monetary benefits such as rectification in procedures, Public relations, Reduction in manpower turnover ratio or anything as such.

You will have to show the management what you are capable of.

Companies will general sees the amount spend (money and time) and what returns they will get. If you are to prove them that you will add value to your company management will be more than happy to higher or retain you.
