False. The auditor performs procedures to gather sufficient and appropriate audit evidence from underlying records to determine whether the financial statements presented are accurate, complete and adhere to the reporting regulations governing the entity preparing the financial statements. The procedures are thus aimed at all the financial statement reports, including the statement of cash flows, statement of financial position, statement of comprehensive income and the accompanying notes to the financial statements.
