coagulation: desirable process of the colloid particles of gluing to produce denser particles and easy to filter.

peptisation: this is the opposite of coagulation. separate particles to return to a colloidal state. the particles of the desired precipitate thus entrained in solution and the error produced lowers the weight of precipitate filtered .
