How to create view port and set the scale of view port?

Click the layout tab, type MV space, then click the layout paper and draw a rectangle. Double click inside the rectangle then type Z space, S space, then type1/xp(for scale of1:, otherwise type the desired scale). You can also lock the viewport by typing MV space, L space, On space, then click the rectangle.

Step1: Click one of the layout tab to switch to layout space. Step2: Type command MVIEW in the command line. If you want to make a rectangle viewport, just click one point in paper space and then click the second point, a rectangle viewport is finished.

Click Application menu  Print  Manage Plotters.

Double-click the plotter configuration (PC3) file whose port settings you want to change.

In the Plotter Configuration Editor, click the Ports tab.

Select one of the following options:

Plot to the Following Port. Sends the drawing to the printer through the specified port.

Plot to File. Sends the drawing to the file name specified on the Files tab in the Options dialog box.

AutoSpool. Uses the AutoSpool utility specified on the Files tab in the Options dialog box to plot the drawing.

For a device that emulates the configured device and has additional port options, select Show All Ports.

To connect a nonsystem plotter to another instance of the device, click Browse Network. In the Browse for Printer dialog box, select the device and click OK.

Click OK.

Type MV command in command line then drag view port,  Add Scale.

For example - (1: it means1 paper unit = drawing units)

As well as can find from bottom of the drawing they shown the scale size. Scale (1:50)   For A0

Add Scale to your View port 

select view port and goto properties - misc - standard /annotation /custom scales set 

(ex:-1: it means1 paper unit = drawing units)

also check layout bottom drawing status bar - view port scale

To Create a view port in layout just type MV command in command line then drag view port (single or multi full)

To create view port

  1. Click View tabViewports panelNew.
  2. In the Viewports dialog box, New Viewports tab, under Standard Viewports, select Single.
  3. Click to specify one corner of the new layout viewport.
  4. Click to specify the opposite corner.

    A new layout viewport object is available and displays a default view. To adjust the view, double-click within the layout viewport to access model space.

To set Scale of view port:

  1. Click the border of the viewport whose scale you want to modify.
  2. Right-click, and then choose Properties.
  3. In the Properties palette, select Standard Scale, and then select a new scale from the list.

    The scale you choose is applied to the viewport.

Creating a Viewport:

On the command line, type "mv" and specify the first corner and to the end corner of a viewport.

Scaling a Viewport:

Select the viewport you want to modify, then go to viewport pallete and choose on the scale list or enter your specific scale.

  1. Switch to paperspace. (See Toggle between model space and paper space)
  2. Click the viewport border. The viewport properties display in the Bricscad Properties Bar.

To create view port go to your layout, type mv(multiple view) set your paper scale could be found at the lower part of the interface.
