What's the difference between ductile iron& cast iron and which material is commonly used for utilities manholes/chambers covers?

Cast Iron is a common word and ductile iron is a product after heat treatment and making nodular micro structure or flakes of carbon. this has more ductile property and strength than that of normal White cast iron. 

Manhole are casted from Ductile Iron
