So when you invite ur Friends or do advertisement for your social media pages it will provide some trust to the visitors to like or follow your page.

Based on the above you can plan a ppc campaign on social channels.... If it is customer acquisition you can try something like what souq.com is doing - Have a competiion or a referral competition.
Social tactics vary as per the type - facebook , twitter or youtube... .Depending on this you will use a different tactic.
In my opinion I would have to say twitter and facebook.

There are different Social Media Strategies and in each strategy there are different tactics that could be applied. You need to know what do you want first? Is it you are a start-up looking to promote yourself? Is it you are a leader and want to defend - attack? Runner and want to be1st? Just want to hit and run? Build relationship? Get emails?
As Abdul Shakoor khan said you have to be more specific.
