As we studied so much time before now, but I think they are some sensors which are sused to cotrol the pressure differential. And these abbrevations stand for DPS (Differentail Pressure Sensor) and DPT (Differential Pressure Transmittar).

DPS ( differential pressure switch ) : when the pressure difference between2 points exceeds its set point As before and after HEPA filtethese switch sends a signal to the variable speed drive in order to increase the motor rotational speed which increase the air flow rate to compensate the pressure drop.
DPT ( differential pressure transimitter ) : it just send an alarm when the pressure drop exceed the set point like before and after the AHU's fan .
I'm really appreciate your interaction. i went through this question even i'm already know the answer but in the manner of opening a subject or case study in order to prevail benefit through infromation exchange.
So as a start we've dfined the abbreviation and we didn't identify it's objective or the purpose of using this device in Central Air Conditioning ( Chilled Water system).
1-D.P.S. is meaning differential pressure switch and used to monitor and control the pressure before and after some HVAC elements such as Airfilters and Fans.
2-D.P.T.can has more meanings as per legend of the project one meaning is dew point tempreature ,another meaning is differential pressure transmitter.
DPS : Differential Pressure Switch, which sends either a NC or NO signal, usually used for determining the air flow through filters(helps to signal the DDC whether the filter is dirty or not by measuring the pressure difference on both sides of the filter).
DPT : Differential Pressure Transmitter, used usually for water flow systems. This has the provision of sending a control signal ranging from0 to20mA or0 to10V depending on the manufacturer and thus a minimum to maximum flow rate range can be made.
In simple terms DPS sends like "Yes" or "No" signal depending on the pressure difference at the tap points and DPT sends a signal (within the set range) depending on the flow rate between the tap points.
