Is it wise to hire & assign a new PM for a running project OR one of the member from the project team to be promoted and get trained? Please comment.

ThThe existing PM was resigned from the company.

 

C Customer doesn't want any delay in the project progress due to the PM change.  So let me know your comment in this situation what you will do.  Assume that you are a Project Director or PMO.

Promote one of involved team members is better for many reasons, usually new PM will take some time to get in detail and history , he is not there from the beginning so this may cause lack of accountability
