For my personal review, the best booking website in the world is www.booking.com , It not only generate bookings fast (on hotel partner side) but also the leverage of income of a hotel on a daily basis. Easy extranet and very reliable customer support. Compare to www.expedia.com which has a harder to use extranet and generated very low client number as far as my experience is concerned due to the fact the most expedia clientele are from US-based (on my opinion), customer service is okay but hard to reach, commission wise they are the best with only%, and whereas www.agoda.com, even their extranet is easy to use, their market mainly pull clients from Asia (mostly southeast asia) only too, they did not generate that much profit to our hotel, some marketing managers are arrogant too, you cannot rely on them fully although not all, i prefer to deal with europeans or americans than asian managers, percentage commission wise unreliable percentage (keep on changing because they also have hidden charges which is not well discussed on the meetings).
On hotel systems, hotelbeds.com are really very helpful and generate clients but cannot retain relationship with them in some unknown reasons, and DOTW which really generate travelling clients and both with very affordable rates (on client side).
If you compare with international market the website which competes Booking.com and other major websites like trivago, hotels.com, Tajawal. This was a major challenge as a senior agent in the hospitality industry,

As a travel agent i thoroughly recommend B2B websites like GTA, Hotelbeds,Mikinet,tourico. these are the website which helps to get direct contracted rate apart from XML rates. so many chain hotels are linked with these major companies like dynamic system. early bird and stay offers are well displayed in the system and its user friendly.
In my opinion, best system is Opera System because it's easy to use which is reduc the effort and time of reserve any reservation.
