Well, I'd go with curiosity and patience as well, and I think that for extroverted people, it's easier to communicate with people and find someone to practice. Personally, I've decided to turn to language learning with lingopie, and for me, it's not that hard to improve my language skills, so nowadays, anyone can learn a language without any difficulties.
I'm pretty sure it's curiosity and patience because it's hard to learn a language if you don't have such qualities.
