Question: Amplification technique for proteins similar to PCR for DNA?

Answer: 1, You can't amplify proteins. You just have to express more and/or purify better.

2, It is not possible to amplify proteins using PCR.

3, PCR takes advantage of the polymerase mechanism, which can build more nucleic acid from a template of nucleic acid.

4, There's no such mechanism by which protein can be produced from a read of protein, as it's really the ribosome which produces protein from a nucleic acid template.

5, Protein characterization. The following states how to purify proteins and then detect them.

Concentrate your protein extract before preparing your samples for SDS-PAGE.

Depending on the size of gel and the well configuration you're using,- ug of protein should be more than enough to see protein on your gel.

6, We need to adopt techniques in gene expression so as to collect more proteins. This means the necessity of combining the gene expression and protein techniques.

Good luck
