It is something we will not digest. Simultaneously we should confront the manager and ask the reason for such a decision. If improper it is better to quiet the company than accept a slow death.

It will be very discouraging and hurting to me.  But being an employee in an organization i will continue my daily routine  and talk to my boss about that , is there any fault in my way of work or what is their standard to get a higher position or i'm not a deserving candidate for  that position So that i can improve myself and get a position and good salary.

This situation will be very miserable and very discouraging from the employee point of view.In this condition First thing is We need to be"patience"; and then the next step is to communicate your feelings with your boss/higher management about the salary, work load, your capacity/competency in positive manner, after sharing your feeling you will be relaxed.  And keep doing your routine work with enthusiasm; Next time Higher management should consider your  seniority/experience for moving-up level.

Obviously long standing employee feel bad about the situation, but would be one thing is to do introspect what made such a situation to arise. If felt wrong upon the part of the employer/superior., try to have a one to one discussion putting the point before him/her and have a better understanding of the situation, based upon it, take proper decision to look for a right time and opportunity to quit and accept the new job. Thanks.

first of all i will try to convince the management that how the qualified workers affect the production and hence the company which will be beneficial for them even. if management have certain problems like financial i will train the workers to the level so that the quality and quantity of the production can be achieved. every human has the peculiar methodology to acquire. will try to teach that way otherwise replace one the newer unqualified worker.
