GNS3 is good for practicing CCNP

An updated version of the Packet Tracer will be a recommended choice as for the CISCO proprietary software.

GNS3 is also considerable.

GNS3 is one of the best , while Packet Tracer is good for CCNA level.

For switching GNS3 with vIOS-L2 and vIOS-L3 would cover the most, it has been said VIRL has most of the feature required for CCNP

i recommend  GNS3 .Where you could integrate  Vmware its very useful .

Packet tracer and GNS3 both don't help in advance switching labs. Cisco's new VIRL is quite costly friends so still not much free options available.
