You should have a plan before the Crisis occurs. When planning all conceivable situations and their best solutions are to be kept in mind and even second options are to be enumerated. Best solutions to be then tried after discussions with those who are experienced enough to take decisions.

Also, when dealing with Crisis, the organisations best strengths come to the fore and we have to keep the best interests of the organisation and its employees.

Also, many a times open discussions and an open door policy with at least most truths (if not complete) will help immensely.

Having the correct person to lead the existing team through, managing the day to day performance and supplementing the departments with additional staff. Being able to take a step back and assessing the situation making adjustment's as necessary. When the situation has eased, then you can complete an action plan to help prevent it fro happening again.
