Children should be limited to less than two hours of screen time per day: this includes TV, iPads, and gaming consoles. In order to develop and grow, you need to design a nurturing schedule for your children that includes a lot of physical and mental activities, all kind of sports that caters to what they like, art, learning languages, creative activities like robotic clubs, etc.
To be a parent means you have to spend quality time with your kids.
Education starts at home with the family. No matter what a child learns in school it needs to be reinforced at home. Educating a child is a community effort that includes, teachers, classmates, school administration, parents, siblings, religious leaders, neighbors, anyone that the child sees often is included in that child's education. It's more than ABCs, Reading, Writing, Speaking, Spelling, Math, Science, Islamic Studies, etc,. All of these are important, but without reinforcement at home or school or in the community they will not be important to the child. TV is not a substitute for good parenting. Smartphones and IPADs do not replace a parent or a teacher and their use should be limited and/or monitored by the parents and the teachers if used in school. Social Media is another form of education, but is it the education you want your child to have? Do you know what they are reading on social media? Do you know who they talk to? What they say to people on social media? Social media needs to be monitored by parents and teachers as well. It's not something that you would necessarily have your child avoid, but be aware of it. There is so much that can be learned through social media and this includes the good and the bad, so stay aware of what your child is doing and who they are doing it with. Support your child's teacher and support your child as well. Know that if a teacher is seeing a problem with your child and she or he informs you of it, they are not doing so because they are against your child but because they want to help your child to do better. Also know that your child's teachers work does not end when school is dismissed. They are busy preparing for your child's next lesson for the following days and weeks ahead. They are thinking about all of their students pretty much/7 and they do what they do because they love it and want a better future for your child.
Parenting is not so easy as some people think. Actually, bringing up of a human child is the hardest task among the bringing up of all other creatures. It needs multi-facet grooming. You can't ignore anyone aspect of this process and this is the prime thing to know by all parents.

Letting the children to learn from their mistakes without putting their self-confidence down. Being there for the children step by step helps them a lot. Educating the children by praising the good things and correcting the wrong things in a gentle way.
Parents are role model for their own little ones, so show them and act on it.
Educating children is not the sole responsibility of the child's teacher, parents have a great role to play in the education of their children morally and otherwise
