From Failure Analysis of various coatings it has been deduced that failure occurs due to three primary causes:

1. Physical defects for example Blistering, Dirt, Bubbles and Crater formation.

2.Formation related failures: UV degradation of resin, Weathering or Chemical Reaction.

3.Substrate related failures: Aluminum oxide; due to smooth oxide surface and as result no proper adhesion.
