the short answer according to my knowledge if you are smart then you can give roughly idea by showing rough sketch or drawing.

In terms of tools, you need a good type of papers (depending on the type of colors you want to use), a kit of colors (water, oil, pastel... etc), a wooden board, and a good lightening. You will also need the imagination and a good idea to execute and of course time and patience to finish the sketch.
