stress analysis engineer deals with the loads and the stress on the material section and can calculate the stress on a specified section and related strain and section capacity , calculate internal forces ( e.g. stress diagram-strain diagram-bending moment diagram-shearing force diagram-normal force diagram and torque diagram).

Structural engineer in addition to above skills, he could be capable for design the sections according to the above diagrams and the used codes to achieve safe and economic designed section chose the mechanism of the buildings (statical system).
