What is the difference between config-register (0X2101) and (0X2102)?

0x2101
  • Boots into bootstrap
  • Ignores break
  • Boots into ROM if initial boot fails
  • 9600 console baud rate
0x2102
  • Ignores break
  • Boots into ROM if initial boot fails
  • 9600 console baud rate default value for most platforms

0x2101 is used when there is one IOS version is flash.0x2102 is used when there is more than one ios version in flash. You need to specify the ios version using command:

 

boot system flash:
