A good communication and information flow is established by first identifying those " others" whom we need to communicate with: then the type information you need to convey/others need, level of details needed, means of communication, timing and frequency of communicating, preciseness of the  information conveyed.

I believe that we must have more and more educations in communications art and science ,

Know what communication really is. Communication is the process of transferring signals/messages between a sender and a receiver through various methods (written words, nonverbal cues, spoken words). It is also the mechanism we use to establish and modify relationships.

for example: A very good way to establish good communication and information flow with others is by working with people (i.e colleagues, customers, and potential customers) the way they want to be worked with; by prior professional understanding about the best way to work with them, that encourages trust and "comfort".

Actually Information flows in two ways:

1. Upward flow

2. Downward Flow

these flows are most likely to be used in a hierarchy of an organization for reporting channel.

The Downward information flows from upper level management to middle level management and low level management/field operations.

Unlike Downward communication, Upward communication flows from field level management to Supervisors, Middle Level Management and upper level management to make informed decisions.
