Market Penetration is a strategy that allows a company to take aggressive action to expand its share of total sales in a market.  Normally it is done in the same Market segments by Price reduction, Terms Improvement, expanding market activities, Product differentiation and distribution channel expansion.

Use of price reductions and terms improvement tend to have the minimum results, since they can be easily matched by competitors. Differentiating however with marketing, products, and distribution channels tends to have more long-lasting results.

 

So my answer would be #2

1.....because market penetration usually falls upon penetration pricing to see it succeed.

Market penetration has limitations. At some point, the marketplace becomes saturated, meaning that almost all customers with interest in your product or service have been satisfied by you or an existing customer. At some point, the additional customers you gain through more investment in marketing don't provide enough return on investment to justify continuing with this strategy. Aggressive market penetration through competitive advertising methods may help attract some customers, but it can also lead to responsive attacks from competitors and, potentially, legal issues if you make untrue claims in the ads.

I totally disagre, because pnetrating a market means entring new market, when you enter a new market it means u have to make a new product to compete the market u decided to enter
