Distant Learning / Online degree recognition in Saudi in IT industry?

Hi,

 

I am from the UK and as I work full time here and have a family I am not able to go to Uni full time so I wanted to do an online degree.

 

My options are Open University though I am waiting to here from the University of Liverpool. Both are online distant learning degrees.

 

So my question is, are these recognised in the IT industry over there my employers or not. Mainly want to know about Saudi, though be interested to know about other countries in the middle east.
