As far as we consider technology as a facilitator there are no ill effects.  But as we tend to believe that technology is a replacement for conventional activities the ill effects start appearing.  For example, when children completely avoid outdoor games and get glued to games on computer it affects their health and impairs development.  Similar is the case with all activities.  Use of technology for education has brought in revolutionary changes in terms of reach and cost of imparting knowledge.  However, in the absence of proper testing and certification procedures, the quality of education is likely to be a back bencher in preferences.
