One of your employees uses your laptop, unfortunately, the window crashes destroying all of unbacked valuable data. What will you do?

I never get my data Un backed. But if it happens, I will inform my boss and get consultation from IT

Am an IT consultant and have dealt with such before will such show him/ her how to retrieve file back using tools that are available in the market

I will call the police. I mean i will recall the policy.

if i already told her not to temper with such things.

Escalate to IT department and inform about this incident to immediate superior

go and ask for a professional IT and seek advise and help so you would know really if it is repairable. you can't solve a problem by giving problem and stress to others. that is unfortunate event and for sure he/she also does not want it to happen. 

You should take the responsibility as you made too mistakes:

- Never let someone else use your laptop

- Never leave data without backup

So don't start blaming others, blame yourself and start looking for a way to retrieve the lost data.

I will raise a complaint to my boss.
