Yes ! Absolutely it is, becuase what we are teaching those students is not that the material they are learning is only in their books, they have to know that it's everywhere in the world around them, there fore it is crutial to use other resources, all kinds of resources to show them that, and to get them involved in all these different aspect of the material that will empower them to get involved in the practical side of things!

i think we can learn agood knowledge about history , geography , social  , math , science and all  other curriculam  in  school , so we will be able to get certificates , but we didnot teach student ( how to get job) ? in the future i think extra curriculam activitis  will teach children new defirent subject like music , art and also they will learn the meaning of being in a team work the problem now is that children is studing  more than7 subjects at school , then will not be able to learn the subject they realy love like music art , we need to solve this puzzle in the future

Yes, I think academic and ECA both activities are effective in the classroom teaching, if integrated in the classroom.
For example the students may be asked to write an essay on the topic of their ECA (Exercises for Health, Scouting, Football, Gardening, Acting etc), in the English classroom, while they may be asked to present their budget and expenses of ECA in the math classroom.
It will be wonderful if ECA will be connected with their future lives individually.
The teacher is expected to make the learning enjoyable and fun with his/her high expectations, attitude, behavior, and professional knowledge.

Yes. But it should not be limited to sports. Basically now a days people will understand ECA as sports event or any other types of outdoor events only, which, in my opinion, is wrong concept.

Both extra and academic are effective.
Moreover, one is uneffective without the other.
You have to know how much extra could there be.
I know teachers who tend to turns the academic into extra, which is, of course, wrong.
Too academic also becomes boring and very abstract.
Well, you've got to know how to sing the song they want to dance on

I think that both academic curriculum and extra-curricular activities are so crucial in developing the range of skills and attributes that are important for students:                                 The curriculum enables students to develop their subject knowledge, academic literacy and a range of complementary capabilities, whereas extra-curricular activities strongly enhance students` learning effectiveness and improve their development as well as the quality of teaching and learning.
