Always not required as long as every thing is going Fine ,but at the Same in an multi Functional departments and verticals it is required for the company exclusiveley involving in trading activities

Micro management is required if the trading business involves bi-weekly targets set.
Upto quarterly target can be a mix of both macro-micro.
Over3 months it can be macro or optimal or both.
