Revenue is often referred to as top line since it is the first item that we consider in preparing the income statements , what is the bottom line ?

The bottom line is the profit after all necessary expenses and tax has been considered. this is not just because it is the last line item to be considered on the income statement but also because it is the most important item that it on a particular interest to the finance manager.
