ecommerce is all about logistics and supply chain and less about technology , since technology solutions are available in plenty. Ideally I'd suggest that one should go for a eCommerce integrator services like shopify , shopgo etc, where one would have the facility to integrate multiple plugins and most importantly , logistics. Online integration of logistics will take away80% of the operational pain. Moreover , these solutions are more market savvy and comes with mail , sms and many other relevant features. I would completely avoid both godaddy and yahoo small business solutions.PS : Its funny that Yahoo is still relevant in the region :P

Godaddy's control panel is really difficult to navigate and get things done (at least from my point of view) their customer support is slow and to get a good and fast answer you need to call them by phone ( I do not recommend)

Yahoo Business do not gives you good CRM and valuable features to your eCommerce website.

I prefer you check these reviews http://www.top10ecommercesitebuilders.com/ , it may help you out

From my19 years IT experience i recommend godaddy for small business domain and hosting services.

if its a new startup then yahoo small business is a good option. After Developing and gaining enough experience you can switch to GoDaddy for expansions.

Hello,

GoDaddy provides different packages that suites most businesses. It may cost a bit more than other providers, but GoDaddy has a reputation worldwide and for years. I would recommend GoDaddy for the hosting.

So if this is a "Start Up", go for Yahoo. GoDaddy is a service for DNS and hosting.  Yahoo small business is a "Specialized Low Risk" platform for startups in particular.  If your business is working out well on YSB (Yahoo small business), that's when you should switch to your own website, of course, for which you will need GoDaddy.

From my15 years web management experience i prefer godaddy for domain services.

Never go for godaddy if you do not want them to save your payment details, yes you heard it right godaddy will save your payment mode such as debit/credit card details and will force you to retain it with them for the renewal purpose, you can not delete it until you cancel the order...Don't have an idea about yahoo you can go for other services such as namecheap etc. also google is a good option...

Hi,

i would stringly recommend to use godaddy or other company. Yahoo small business services are very outdated . Their control panel even doesn't have those option which small companies at free of cost.

Usman Ghani

It all depends, how fast you want to start making a business. If you want to move your products overnight then both are good options. else Let some one design a good E commerce web site with a creative touch to it.  One more thing to say Market place is missing in both the options, and also you cannot have your own features as per your strategies embedded in it. If finance is the issue then go for it else try the create a website for your business.
