Inorder to be  a better salesman and get  more leads  you  need  to  survey  whole market  and  have  such  a marketing  concept  which will make your  products easily  available to general public.which will inturn  imporve your sales margin

You must know your product/solution and know who is your target customer. Establish contacts with anyone who can get you in touch with the relevant customer and do not dismiss the junior employees as they may have the hints to help you find leads.

Also, attending relevant industry events will help you find more leads.
