The main difference is based on the technology used for providing services.

Mobile banking allows you to do transactions through your smart phone using banks mobile application, such as SBI freedom, AXIS mobile etc.. Net banking allows you to shop, trade, transact online through your bank's website by using user id and password is required to do so.

Net banking is time consuming compared to mobile banking.

net banking and mobile banking are the two sides of a coin. The difference between net banking and mobile banking are net banking requires only secured web browser and a very strong internet connection. In mobile banking is based on a banking application software and it is only use a registered mobile phone. In my opinion net banking is more useful for each and every transaction. All the e-commerce web sites offer net banking facility to every one.
