Only professionals can hande different types of hard / critical situations, which are always there at any work environment. To handle a very tense situation you should:1. Keep CALM and never loose control.2. Try to IDENTIFY the problem.3. Share it with ONLY people who should be involved to find out the solution.4. Discuss it in private even if it started in public.5. Delay the discussion if the time or place are not helpful to handle it.6. Be brave and say (I'M SORRY) if you think it was your fault.

In generally I agree with Mr. Walid Abou Saleh, but it depend on the circumstances and the situation, the reason of the tense situation and a lot of other things. Is it just an misunderstanding, is somebody insulted, is it about knowledge or shortage of knowledge ....... and so on. There could be a lot of reasons they cause tense situation and the way to handle it depend in a big part on the reason.

As precise our question is the better the answers, like in the communication at all.

Tense situation ca only be handled if you are confident, analytical and with decision making ability.Teamwork view should not be left in vain
